In the green northern reaches of Idaho, near the hub of Coeur d’Alene, Aspiro’s Outreach Initiative Team spent several days meeting with professionals from around the area. We were honored to share the day with representatives from Milestones, Boulder Creek Academy, Northwest Academy and Echo Springs. It was cool but sunny in Q’emlin State Park where we facilitated an individualized climbing experience for our participants, discussing our therapeutic adventure approach, as well as the interconnectedness of wilderness intervention and long term aftercare. It was a day of goal setting, intentionality and fun. We capped off our adventure with a 70 foot free hanging rappel and an invitation to come back anytime.
On the second day of our journey, we visited alumni at three different locations: the welcoming Milestones, the beautiful campus of Boulder Creek Academy and the quiet hub of change, Northwoods. What a day to see how our kids, having gone through the challenge of Aspiro, are now thriving in their respective boarding schools! We were welcomed with open arms and left knowing we formed lasting connections with several incredible people from amazing programs. Thank you to all our participants for helping the final outreach initiative of the season become a success. And a special thank you to our very own Associate Admissions Director, Chelsea Dickinson who gave us a home away from home. See you next year!
