Shailee was born and raised in Utah. During her undergraduate studies at Utah Valley University, she worked in substance abuse treatment and she also worked at a residential treatment center for teenage girls, where she found passion in helping others enhance their lives. Shailee grew to love working with families and helping them understand their family dynamics. She quickly learned that change can happen when love and boundaries work together. Her work experiences led her to the decision to pursue a career as a therapist. During her four years working in residential treatment, she graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Social Work.
Shailee pursued her goal to become a clinician and graduated with a Master’s degree in Social Work at the University of Utah. She is trained in Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She believes in utilizing the therapeutic relationship with her clients to help them explore, understand, and live their own core values in order to enhance their lives. Shailee has a gift for helping the people she is with feel loved and understood, and she therefore has a talent for connecting with and earning the trust of her students. Shailee married her childhood best friend and they enjoy spending time together in the great outdoors. She loves to travel and go on camping and fishing trips.
